CDGU is a consulting engineering firm that has been working in urban infrastructure for over 25 years. Over the years, we have carried out numerous urban infrastructure projects and we are proud to have carved out a place for ourselves in this field. Available positions

ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER

Main responsibilities  

The position consists of ensuring the preparation of plans and specifications as well as the management of urban infrastructure projects. Specifically, the main tasks are to: 

  1. Participate in the design of plans and specifications and the management of urban infrastructure projects; 
  2. Perform design calculations and ensure that plans meet guidelines, code requirements and other regulations; 
  3. Establish and maintain contact with the clients to adequately respond to their needs and present technical information and concepts;
  4. Supervise the work of technicians, site supervisors and draftsmen assigned to the project;
  5. Perform any other related duties that may assist in the completion of the project.

Know-how  

  1. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; 
  2. Relevant experience in urban infrastructure design; 
  3. Hold a permit from the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec; 
  4. Experience in consulting engineering considered an asset; 
  5. Sense of initiative and attention to detail; 
  6. Ability to work in a team; 
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills; 
  8. Fluency in French, both oral and written; 
  9. Bilingualism considered an asset; 
  10. Excellent knowledge of the MS OFFICE suite. 

Know-how

This position is permanent, 37.5 hours per week.

TECHNICIAN-DRAFTSMAN IN CIVIL ENGINEERING

Main responsibilities  

The position consists of developing and preparing plans for urban infrastructure projects based on sketches, preliminary concepts, engineering calculations and specifications. Specifically the Drafting Technician provides: 

  1. Participate in the design of plans 20% of the time; 
  2. Develop plans using Auto CAD software 70% of the time; 
  3. Perform calculations and analysis 10% of the time.

Know-how 

  1. A college diploma in civil engineering technology or computer-aided drafting or any other equivalent training; 
  2. Strong plan reading and analysis skills;
  3. General knowledge in the field of urban infrastructure; 
  4. Mastery of AutoCAD software and the Civil 3D application; 
  5. Fluency in French, both oral and written; 
  6. Excellent knowledge of the MS OFFICE suite. 

Know-how

  3. You demonstrate a spirit of synthesis, a pragmatic attitude to better circumscribe the issues and participate in the development of tangible and applicable solutions;

CIVIL ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR

Main responsibilities  

The position is responsible for overseeing urban infrastructure projects. Specifically, the primary duties include: 

  1. Supervise various urban infrastructure works; 
  2. Take measurements; 
  3. Perform topographic surveys; 
  4. Performs all other related tasks that may assist in the completion of projects.

Know-how  

  1. DEC in civil engineering technology (an asset); 
  2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience;
  3. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software (an asset); 
  4. Knowledge of surveying and measuring equipment; 
  5. Certification from ASP Construction on the “General Health and Safety on Construction Sites” course; 
  6. Own a vehicle and have a valid driver’s license; 
  7. Sense of initiative and attention to detail;
  8. Ability to work in a team;
  9. Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  10. Fluency in French, both oral and written;
  11. Excellent knowledge of the MS OFFICE suite. 

Know-how  

  1. You are a person who is able to handle several projects at once;
